Finito for installers

Site hours on the phone, not on a scrap of paper in the van.

Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians: your people are on the road all day. With Finito they start the timer on their phone on site, and at the end of the month you have the hours ready for the social secretariat.

30 days free, no meeting or credit card needed. Then from €8 per user per month.

Retyping notes on Friday afternoon

At many installers it still goes like this: every technician writes their hours on a sheet or in a WhatsApp message, and on Friday or at month-end the owner or their partner types it all up. One note got wet, someone can't remember whether they left at four or half past four on Tuesday, and Mrs Peeters' job shows up twice on the same day.

Recording site hours can be simpler, even for an installer whose crew is on the road all day. One big green button on the phone, per job. Hours are final straight away, with no submitting or approving.

Built for people who don't sit at a desk

One tap on site

The technician picks the job and taps start. The timer keeps running on phone and computer, even if they close the app for a moment.

Forgetting is almost impossible

No timer running for 10 minutes? They get a notification. So nobody forgets to restart after lunch.

Who goes where tomorrow

In the schedule you drag jobs to another day or another technician. If someone falls ill, the schedule shows which tasks need rescheduling.

Hours per job

Every job is a project. You see how many hours an installation has taken so far against what you allowed for in the quote.

A week with a crew of six

A made-up example of an installation company with six technicians.

Monday 7:30

Two technicians start on the Bathroom renovation Kortrijk project. A third starts on a heat pump in Wevelgem. Each on their own phone.

Tuesday

A technician calls in sick. The owner sees in the schedule which jobs were his and drags them to a colleague or to Thursday.

Wednesday

A job runs over and the crew works until 19:15. That day differs from the schedule and shows up for the owner to review.

End of the month

For each day that differs, the owner chooses: overtime, flexitime, additional hours or no overtime. Then they close the month and send the payroll export as a zip file to the social secretariat.

Overtime without arguments

On site, days run long, that's part of the job. The problem usually isn't the overtime itself but the argument about it three weeks later. Finito tracks overtime to the minute under Belgian rules. No time worked is trimmed, and the original entry always stays visible. When someone takes time off in lieu, it comes off the overtime balance automatically.

Whether travel between jobs counts as working time depends on your arrangement and your sector. Check with your social secretariat and set it up in Finito that way. Your social secretariat calculates overtime pay and premiums, not Finito. More on overtime and flexitime.

Registration requirement from 2027

The federal government wants employers to record their staff's working time from 1 January 2027. You don't need a time clock at the warehouse door: the system must be objective, reliable and accessible. Under the preliminary draft there's a transition period until the end of March 2027. Your social secretariat will confirm exactly what applies to your business.

How to start on a Monday

  • Create your current jobs as projects
  • Invite your technicians; there's nothing complicated to install: logging in on their phone is enough
  • Set each technician's schedule and arrangement
  • On Friday, go through the week's hours together

What it costs

For an installer, Team is usually enough: €8 per user per month, with job hours and planning, overtime review, payroll export, time off in lieu and leave, and the log. If you invoice time and materials and want to see per job what's left to invoice, choose Pro at €11. Prices excl. VAT, cancel any month. See the pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Do my technicians have to submit their hours every day?

No. Hours are final straight away, with no submitting or approving. A technician can only make changes on the day itself.

What if a technician forgets to start?

After 10 minutes without a running timer they get a notification. If they still forget, they can fix it the same day. After that the owner can fix it, with the original visible in the log.

Does Finito calculate overtime pay?

No. Finito tracks overtime and puts it in the payroll export. Your social secretariat calculates overtime pay and premiums.

Can I also use the job hours for invoicing?

Yes, the hours per client and per job are ready for invoicing. You create the invoice itself in your own accounting software.

Where is the data stored?

In the EU. You can export everything whenever you like, and every month an export lands in the owner's inbox automatically.
