The end-of-month problem
At the end of the month your social secretariat wants to know how many hours everyone worked, and above all: which were overtime, which were time off in lieu and who was on leave. In many small businesses, that's when the hunt begins. An Excel sheet here, a calendar there, a message from an employee who 'thinks Tuesday ran a bit later'.
The result: retyping, double-checking and hoping it's right. And if it isn't, you only see it on the payslip.
From hours to payroll export
Track
Your team uses the timer. Hours are final straight away. Employees can only make changes on the day itself.
Review
If a day differs from the schedule, the owner decides what it is: overtime, flexitime, additional hours or no overtime. More on overtime and flexitime.
Close
You close the month. From then on it's locked and nobody changes anything.
Export
You create the payroll export as a zip file and send it to your social secretariat. A closed month is never exported twice.
What the export contains
Per employee and per day, hours are broken down by type. Your social secretariat has nothing left to guess.
Worked
The regular hours worked that day, noted as 7:36 or 8:00.
Overtime
The hours the owner marked as overtime, to the minute.
Flexitime
Hours that fall under flexitime, kept apart from overtime.
Additional hours
For part-time employees: hours above their contract that aren't overtime.
Leave and time off in lieu
Leave days and time off in lieu taken are included too, so balances match what gets paid.
What Finito doesn't do
Finito doesn't calculate overtime pay or premiums. What an overtime hour costs depends on your joint committee, the contract and the rules your social secretariat applies. Finito delivers the hours correctly; the calculation happens there.
Finito also has no direct integration with any particular social secretariat. You get an export that you forward yourself. Ask your social secretariat how they prefer to receive the hours.
Why the numbers stay right
- A closed month is locked, nobody changes anything
- A month is never exported twice
- Every change to hours is in the log, the original stays visible
- No time worked is trimmed
- Time off in lieu is deducted from overtime automatically
- Each arrangement has a start date, so past months stay correct
- Every month an export lands in the owner's inbox automatically
Payroll export is included in Team
Reviewing overtime, time off in lieu and leave, the log and the payroll export are all in Team, at €8 per user per month excl. VAT.

What format is the export?
A zip file, with hours per employee per day by type: worked, overtime, flexitime, additional hours and leave.
Does Finito calculate pay or overtime pay?
No. Finito supplies the hours. Your social secretariat calculates pay, overtime pay and premiums.
Is there an integration with my social secretariat?
No, there's no direct integration. You export and forward the file yourself. Ask your social secretariat what format they want the hours in.
Can I accidentally send a month twice?
A month is never exported twice. Once it's closed and exported, it's locked.
What if I find a mistake after closing?
Nobody changes a closed month. That way what you sent stays identical to what's in Finito. That's why you review the days that differ before you close.
Will I have to keep track of this from 2027 anyway?
The government wants general registration of working time from 2027. What's already settled is on time registration 2027.
