Finito for IT partners

Finito for IT partnersSupport and projects, separate per client.
A printer that won't print, a server that needs moving, a new hire at a client who needs a laptop. An IT partner works in short bursts for lots of clients. Finito keeps track of those bursts, so you know where your time goes.
30 days free, no meeting or credit card needed. Then from €8 per user per month.

The quarter-hour nobody logs
At an IT partner, the loss is rarely in the big projects. Those get planned and tracked. The loss is in the quarter-hour: a quick login at a client, a password reset, a question about the mailbox. Nobody logs it, it's only fifteen minutes. Five times a day, for five technicians.
Good time tracking for an IT company makes that quarter-hour visible. Not to watch over anyone, but to know which client asks for more support than their contract covers.
How to set it up
Support per client as a project
Give every client with a maintenance contract a support project with an hours budget per month or year. You see when a client is burning through their hours, e.g. 36:00 of 50:00, so 72% halfway through the year.
Projects kept separate
A server migration or a new network install gets its own project with its own budget. That way support and project work don't mix.
Switch in a tap
A call in between? Stop the timer on the project, start it on the caller's support. One tap, on phone or computer.
Amounts only for those who need to see them
The owner decides per person who sees amounts. A project manager follows the hours but never sees colleagues' cost prices.
An ordinary Tuesday
A made-up example of an IT partner with four technicians and an owner.
8:30
A technician carries on with the Migration to new server project for Accountancy Firm South. Timer started.
10:05
Another client calls: nobody can print. Timer on that client's Support, fixed 0:25 later.
13:40
After lunch he forgets to restart. After 10 minutes he gets a notification.
End of the month
The owner sees one client has been over their support budget for three months. That's a conversation about the contract, with numbers in hand.
What Finito doesn't do
Finito isn't a ticketing system and doesn't connect to your ticketing system or RMM tool. There's an export, not an API integration. Want to use the hours elsewhere? Export them whenever you like, and the owner gets an automatic export by email every month.
Finito doesn't create invoices either. The hours per client and project are ready for invoicing; you create the invoice in your own accounting software. That's a deliberate choice, so your bookkeeping stays in one place. For how that compares to a spreadsheet, read Finito vs Excel.
Call-outs outside working hours
A server that goes down on a Saturday morning, an update that has to happen in the evening. Days like that differ from the schedule. The owner reviews them and chooses: overtime, flexitime, additional hours or no overtime. Overtime is tracked to the minute, time off in lieu comes off the balance automatically, and your social secretariat calculates overtime pay from the payroll export.
Ready for 2027
From 1 January 2027 the federal government wants general registration of working time. Under the preliminary draft you have until the end of March 2027 if you have no system by then. No specific method is imposed. The final rules aren't settled yet, so check with your social secretariat what applies to you.

Frequently asked questions
Can I track a block of hours or a prepaid bundle per client?
Yes. Give that client's support project an hours budget. You see how many hours are used and what percentage of the budget that is.
Does Finito connect to my ticketing system?
No. There are no integrations. You can export everything whenever you like.
Can a technician change their hours later?
Only on the day itself. After that the owner can change it, and the original stays visible in the log.
Does it work for a team with part-timers?
Yes. For each employee you set full-time or part-time, e.g. 4/5, with contract hours and a start date.
