Start date and deadline: the difference
The start date decides where a task sits in the planning. The deadline always stays.
A task or project has two dates:
- Start date: the day the work is planned. A task with a start date appears in the planning on that day.
- Deadline: the day it must be done.
Remove a task from the planning with "Done"? Then only the start date disappears. The deadline stays.
That’s on purpose. Think of a task waiting for client feedback: you don’t need to work on it today, but the deadline must not disappear unnoticed.
